Saudi names Aradhana Khowala as NEOM's tourism sector head

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has hired Aradhana Khowala to be the head of the tourism sector in its megaproject NEOM.

The founder of Aptamind, an international expert in the hospitality and tourism sectors, Khowala is a member of the World Tourism Forum's board of directors.

“We will be working alongside Aradhana to make NEOM an exceptional global tourism destination looking ahead to the future,” CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr stated via Neom’s official Twitter account.

Khowala also plans to develop new touristic projects in Africa during the coming period.

In October 2017, Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman announced a plan to establish a $500 billion megaproject under the name NEOM, noting that it would be a business and industrial hub. The purpose of the project is to reduce the kingdom's dependence on oil exports.
