Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged about 80 points, or 1.03%, to 7,639.5 points.
By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume reached 23.88 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 635 million through 22,150 transactions.
The energy, materials, banking, and telecommunication services sectors fell 2.24%, 1.72%, 0.81%, and 0.63%, respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer durables and apparel sector rose 0.5%, while the diversified financials sector inched up 0.25%.
Saudi Arabian Mining Company’s (Ma’aden) stock led losers with 4.3%, whereas Yamama Cement’s stock grew 2.4%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, slumped 50.6 points, or 1.93%, to 2,570.28 points.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock declined 3.3%, whereas the stock of Arab Sea Information System Co edged up 0.19%.
