Saudi indices end Tuesday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Tuesday with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 55.19 points, or 0.73%, to close the mid-week session at 7,504.94 points.

TASI’s traded volume hit 106 million shares, down from 120.75 million in the previous session, while trading value slid to SAR 2.44 billion ($651.2 million), from SAR 2.78 billion ($741.6 million).

The telecommunication services, materials, and banking sectors dipped1.57%, 0.96%, and 0.31%, respectively.

On the other hand, the commercial and professional services sector inched up 0.57%, while the utilities sector rose 0.07%.

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was TASI’s worst performer after dropping 9.94%, whereas Anaam Holding’s stock topped gainers after growing 9.93%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, which added 0.1%, led the main market in terms of trading volume after 13.3 million shares were exchanged, while the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock, which gained 2.02%, topped in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 377.4 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, dropped 3.94 points, or 0.16%, to finish at 2,425.21 points.

Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock led Nomu’s losers after declining 3.07%, whereas the stock of Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock topped risers with 0.09%.
