Saudi indices end Sunday on positive note

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the growth of 18 sectors.

The benchmark Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) rose 144.56 points, or 1.8%, to finish at 8,350.96 points.

TASI’s liquidity stood at SAR 2.55 billion on Sunday, against SAR 2.01 billion on Thursday, while trading volume jumped to 115.18 million shares, compared to 76.08 million in the previous session.

The insurance sector topped TASI’s risers adding 2.4%, followed by the commercial and professional services, banking, telecommunication and basic material sectors which went up 2.39%, 2.36%, 2.3% and 1.5%, respectively.

The consumer durables and apparel sector was the bourse’s only loser falling 0.4%.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled up 33.42 points, or 1.1%, to close at 3,120.24 points, touching the highest level since 8 May.

By the end of the session, Raydan Company’s stock led Nomu in terms of liquidity with SAR 361,440, while Abo Moati’s stock topped the index in terms of trading volume with 25,210 shares.
