Saudi SEC starts issuing e-bills as of January

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) on Sunday said that it has begun issuing e-bills instead of paper ones on the 28th day of each Gregorian month, effective January.

The clients would be able to check their bills via their registered emails, SEC’s application on Google Play, SMS services through (500120), and the company’s website, SEC added.

Earlier in 2018, the Saudi electricity provider has launched new services in a bid to ease communication process with the consumers.

These services include Alkahrabacare subscriber account, Twitter account with the ID of (alkahrabafriend), and WhatsApp number (0533991100).

“Enquiries about e-bills can also be made through customer service number 920001100,” Saudi Gazette reported, citing SEC head of subscribers services sector Sultan Al-Matrafi.

In early January, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz approved a royal decree on issuing bills of different services in the country after the public servants obtained their salaries on the 27th of each Gregorian month.
