Saudi-Russian joint investments hit $2bn – Minister

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value of joint ventures (JVs) between Saudi Arabia and Russia in various sectors amounted to $2 billion, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said.

There are a lot of mutual investments between Russia-based Gazprom and state-run Saudi Aramco, Lavrov added during a meeting with his Saudi counterpart Adel al-Jubeir in Moscow, according to Al Ekhbariya.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed mutual cooperation in various sectors, including investment, trade, and counterterrorism collaboration.

Earlier on Wednesday, Saudi Aramco Upstream Technology Company (SAUTC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) to boost cooperation in researches of oil and gas exploration, with a focus on upstream technology.
