Saudi Arabia to provide Covid-19 vaccines in community pharmacies for free

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Health will provide the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines in community pharmacies free of charge inside the kingdom, the Minister of Health, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, told Al Arabiya TV on Wednesday.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is assessing at the moment a number of Covid-19 vaccines. Moreover, it emphasised readiness to quickly expand the vaccination process across the kingdom.

The vaccination programme against the novel coronavirus began in Saudi Arabia on 17 December 2020 after the SFDA had approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine.

Last month, SFDA approved the use and import of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
