Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Transport on Thursday announced that it is currently implementing 12 road projects in Al Ahsa governorate at SAR 1.9 billion in investments and with a 607-kilometre length, the vice minister for roads said.
The projects involve the implementation of 16 crossings and intersections, Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami added on the sidelines of participating in the two-day Al-Hasa Investment Forum.
The Saudi top official further noted that these projects are set to enhance the transportation services in Al-Ahsa region.
On a related note, the kingdom is currently setting up maintenance works for the existing road projects in a bid to raise safety level with a total value of SAR 446 million.
Al-Dulami noted that there are 61 agricultural roads in the region which witnessed painting works at as much as SAR 2.5 million, along with metal-protective barriers at a value of SAR 1.1 million.
In 1439 Hijri year, the ministry finished four projects at a combined cost of SAR 117 million, Al-Dulami said.
