Saudi Arabia to feature NEOM project at Hong Kong investor roadshow

Riyadh – Mubasher: Nadhmi Al Nasr, CEO of Saudi Arabia's flagship project to diversify its economy away from oil, NEOM, is set to host a roadshow in Hong Kong to attract investors to support the mega-development.

Scheduled for April 19 at M+ in West Kowloon Cultural District, the "Discover Neom" event will feature presentations by Neom's leadership, a "New Future by Design Tour," and an evening reception, according to South China Morning Post.

The event will be co-organised by the Belt & Road Office under Hong Kong’s Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.

Neom's team will first visit mainland China before concluding the roadshow in Hong Kong. This initiative aligns with the region's Chief Executive John Lee's acknowledgement during his February 2023 visit to Saudi Arabia, where he highlighted Hong Kong's potential role in channelling funding for Neom.

Tse Yung-hoi, Vice-President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) in Hong Kong, confirmed the CGCC's participation, emphasising the significant opportunities arising from the Middle East's efforts to diversify its economy.

Attendees at the roadshow will gain insights into Neom's urban design approach, integrated economy, and future living concepts in a zero-carbon environment. They will also experience immersive exhibitions showcasing the diverse regions of Neom.
