Saudi Arabia’s trade surplus with Japan hits $2.3bn in April

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s trade surplus with Japan has declined to $2.293 billion (SAR 8.599 billion) in April, compared to $2.472 billion (SAR 9.269 billion) in the same period of 2018.

The kingdom’s exports to Japan recorded $2.604 billion (SAR 9.766 billion) last month, from $2.77 billion (SAR 10.388 billion) in April 2018, data released by the Japanese Ministry of Finance’s (MoF) showed on Wednesday.

Saudi imports from Japan, the world’s third biggest economy, jumped year-on-year to $311.165 million (SAR 1.167 billion) in April, versus $298.418 million (SAR 1.119 billion), data showed.
