Saudi Arabia offers 5 football clubs for privatization

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Sport and the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) offered five sports clubs to investors as part of the Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project.

Investors are welcomed to submit qualification documents to acquire any of the offered clubs, including Al-Riyadh, Abha, Al-Fateh, Al-Tai, and Al-Shoulla.

The clubs have completed the required regulatory procedures and are now ready to be offered to investors. Interested investors have time until July 5 to submit requests through the NCP’s website (https://www.ncp.gov.sa/en/).

Meanwhile, the process takes between eight and ten months to complete when interest is received in a specific club.

The minister also elaborated on interest from both local and international investors in acquiring a significant number of sports clubs, with total registered expressions of interest exceeding 80 across 22 clubs so far.

In line with the Saudi Vision 2030 sports objectives, this step aims to boost the financial and administrative efficiency of clubs and build a more professional, high-performing sports system.
