Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has launched the first locally-made fast HSI32 interceptor on Wednesday with the presence of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces’ Commander, Admiral Fahad bin Abdullah Al Ghofaily.
The launch comes as part of the project to manufacture and localise the HSI32 fast interception system. In collaboration with France’s CMN, Zamil Offshore has manufactured this system and transferred its technologies, the Saudi General Authority for Military Industries' (GAMI) Governor, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Ohali, said in a tweet.
Al Ohali stated that this fast interceptor system will further increase the military and security preparedness of Saudi naval forces and enhance the naval security strength in the region while protecting the kingdom’s vital and strategic interests.
It further evidences GAMI’s intention to move forward towards achieving the Vision 2030 goals.
