Cairo – Mubasher: Arab countries' merchandise exports to Egypt reached $11.4 billion (EGP 197.57 billion) during 2017, according to a report released by the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman).
Saudi Arabia topped Egypt’s trade partners in 2017, with total merchandise exports of $4.1 billion, followed by the UAE and Qatar, with $2.38 billion and $1.35 billion exports, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kuwait and Iraq came forth and fifth among top Arab exporters to Egypt, as their total merchandise exports to the North African country hit $969.77 million and $727.3 million, respectively, in 2017.
In 2017, Algeria, Libya, and Sudan exported $403.56 million, $393.99 million, and $270.86 million, respectively, merchandise goods to Egypt.
Egypt’s commodity exports to the Arab world valued at $7.99 billion in 2017, Dhaman’s data showed.
