Salama, DIB boost DFM Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index added 6.74 points, or 0.24%, to close at 2,849.41 points on Monday, pushed up by the stocks of Salama and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).

The DFM’s trading volume reached 509.38 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 459.58 million.

Market capitalisation grew to AED 373.14 billion from AED 372.67 billion in the previous session.

The insurance sector surged 5.6%, as Salama leaped 12.04% to AED 0.633, while the investment sector added 1.12% after DFM Company and Dubai Investments rose 1.99% and 1.02%, respectively.

Moreover, the transportation, telecommunication, real estate, and banks sectors went up 0.24%, 0.19%, 0.13%, and 0.1%, respectively.
