Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) has signed a contract with the Ministry of Culture to operate and manage the Al Thaqafiya television channel.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will provide comprehensive satellite and digital broadcasting services, media content production, and marketing for the channel.
The contract has a duration of three years, effective from 25 August 2026. While a specific total value was not disclosed, the company stated that the annual value of the contract exceeds 5% of the group’s total revenues based on the latest audited financial statements for the year 2025.
The financial impact of this agreement is expected to be reflected in the company's financial results starting from the second half (H2) of 2026.
This contract follows an initial award announcement made on 26 April. SRMG confirmed that there are no related parties involved in the transaction.
At the end of June 2026, the listed group’s net profit jumped by 64.09% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 34.77 million from SAR 21.19 million.
