Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi National Bank (SNB) announced its interim financial results for the nine-month period that ended on 30 September 2026, reporting a 4.57% increase in net profit attributable to shareholders, which reached SAR 19.48 billion.
The bank’s performance was driven by a robust expansion in operating income and a significant reduction in net impairment charges for expected credit losses during the nine-month period, despite facing higher operating expenses and a slight marginal decline in quarterly profits.
SNB’s total operating income for the first nine months of 2026 rose by 4.55% to reach SAR 30.60 billion. This growth was primarily supported by an 8.3% increase in net income from financing and investments, alongside a 6.30% rise in banking fee income and a 13% improvement in net foreign exchange income.
Total special commission income from financing and investments grew by 1.9% to SAR 46.10 billion, underpinned by a 2.70% increase in income from the financing portfolio.
Net profit for the third quarter (Q3) of 2026 stood at SAR 6.45 billion, representing a marginal decline of 0.29% compared to SAR 6.47 billion in Q3-25.
When compared to Q2-26, the Q3 net profit decreased by 2.36%. This sequential decline was influenced by a 2% drop in total operating income, resulting from a 4.90% decrease in net foreign exchange income and a 35.1% reduction in investment income.
