Mubasher: Securities and Investment Company (SICO) recorded a leap in profits to BHD 1.32 million ($3.48 million) during the first quarter of 2017, compared to BHD 30,000 ($79,000) in the same period of the prior year.
The company’s operating profit rose by 121% to BHD 2.9 million in Q1-17 from BHD 1.31 million in Q1-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Wednesday.
Sico’s net income from investment reached BHD 1.22 million against a loss of BHD 68,000 in Q1-16.
