Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), has named Abdullah Saleh Al Suwailem as its new President and CEO.
Al Suwailem, who succeeded Sulaiman Mansour Ababtain, assumed his new role on 1 September 2022 and will remain in position for the coming five years, according to a recent bourse disclosure.
The new official has more than 34-year experience in the refining and petrochemical business, as he held various managerial and executive positions in Saudi Aramco and its affiliates, besides joint ventures. Moreover, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.
In the January-June 2022 period, SATORP turned to net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 4.51 billion, versus net losses of SAR 1.03 billion during the same period a year earlier.
