Riyad Bank achieves SAR 5.2bn net profits in H1-26

Riyadh – Mubasher: Riyad Bank logged a net profit of SAR 5.26 billion for the six-month period ending on 30 June 2026, representing a 3.54% increase from the SAR 5.08 billion a year before.

Total operating profit for the first half (H1) of 2026 reached SAR 9.35 billion, up 3.61% year-on-year (YoY) from SAR 9.02 billion.

For the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, the bank's net profit reached SAR 2.65 billion, an annual growth of 2.02% from SAR 2.60 billion. The bank attributed the quarterly growth to a rise in total operating income, which reached SAR 4.74 billion, supported by higher net trading income and special commission income.

This was partially offset by an increase in total operating expenses, including a 29.19% rise in expected credit loss provisions to SAR 399.80 million.

The bank's balance sheet showed total assets of SAR 533.64 billion as of 30 June 2026, an 8.50% increase from the previous year.

Customer deposits grew by 9.93% to SAR 348.27 billion, while the loans and advances portfolio expanded by 6.51% to SAR 377.63 billion.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the six-month period stood at SAR 1.24, compared to SAR 1.21 in the year-ago period.

In Q1-26, the lender’s net profits attributable to the shareholders surged by 5.12% YoY to SAR 2.61 billion from SAR 2.48 billion.
