Renault to double production in Morocco

Mubasher: Renault plans to double production at its units in Morocco to 500,000 cars per year by 2022.

The announcement was made after the company’s CEO Carlos Ghosn met with King Mohammed VI in Marrakesh as reported by Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).

An increase in production at the Casablanca factory by 160,000 cars, as well as 340,000 from the Tangier plant will raise total production by the French giant to half a million cars annually.

Morocco’s government is targeting to reach a total production by the sector to one million cars by 2025.
