UAE - Mubasher: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed 15 projects to serve Expo 2020 Dubai at a total value of AED 15 billion, the Dubai media office reported.
The projects include Route 2020 of Dubai Metro to connect seven stations, road projects, the Enterprise Command and Control Centre, and the Intelligent Traffic Centre that deploys smart technologies in managing traffic movement.
Meanwhile, the RTA has deployed 200 public buses, designated 18 stations for buses across Dubai and other main cities of the UAE, and benefitted from smart technologies, apps, and artificial intelligence to facilitate the movement of Expo visitors.
Completed in 2020, the road projects have been divided into six phases, including constructing the junction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Expo Road, two flyovers at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and three intersections at the Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street.
