RAK Ceramics turns to profitability in 2021; dividends proposed

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics (RAK Ceramics) has achieved net profits attributable to the owners of AED 246.47 million in 2021, versus net losses of AED 129.72 million in the earlier year, according to the company's consolidated financials for the period ended 31 December 2021.

The company's revenues jumped by 21.8% to AED 2.86 billion in 2021, compared to AED 2.35 billion in the previous year.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) hiked by 32.7% to AED 501.3 million in 2021 from AED 377.9 million in the previous year.

The earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.25 last year, against losses per share of AED 0.13 in 2020.

Meanwhile, the company's board has proposed a cash dividend distribution of 10% for the second half (H2) of 2021 and 20% of 2021.

It is noteworthy to mention that during the first half (H1) of 2021, the net profits attributable to the owners of RAK Ceramics hiked to AED 148.491 million, compared to AED 14.104 million in the year-ago period.
