Mubasher: The number of newly-incorporated Qatari businesses dropped 34.4% month-on-month in August, the economy and commerce ministry said.
The number stood at 1,416 in August, compared to 2,160 companies in the month before, according to the ministry’s monthly bulletin released late Sunday.
Limited liability companies topped the registered entities, representing 61% of the total number.
Meanwhile, corporations owned by a single person and the individual companies made up 28% and 10%, respectively, the ministry’s data showed.
It is worth noting that commercial licences reached 8,341, while the number of closed firms was 182 firms.
