Mubasher: Assets owned by banks operating in Qatar increased by 6.5% year-on-year in July, data released by the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) showed on Monday.
Total assets amounted to QAR 1.387 trillion ($381 billion) last month, up from QAR 1.30 trillion ($357.6 billion) in July 2017.
On a monthly basis, assets went down 0.4% in July, versus QAR 1.392 trillion, the QCB's data showed.
Qatari banks’ loans retreated 0.84% to QAR 922 billion in July, from QAR 929.78 in the same period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, cash and precious metals grew 3.3% month-on-month to QAR 9.67 billion in July.
Qatari banks’ reserves rose to QAR 36.13 billion in July, from QAR 35.78 billion in June.
