Doha – Mubasher: Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution turned into losses by the end of the fourth quarter of 2016, according to a bourse statement on Monday.
The company registered a net loss of QAR 3.31 million in Q4-16, compared with a net profit of QAR 5.43 million for the year-ago period.
Accordingly, annual net profit tumbled 70% year-over-year in 2016 to QAR 4.3 million from QAR 14.33 million.
Earnings per share stood at QAR 0.68 in 2016 versus QAR 2.28 a year earlier.
The board of directors proposed to pay out cash dividends at 10% of capital, or QAR 1 per share.
The company is capitalized at QAR 62.81 million, distributed over 6.28 million shares at QAR 10 each.
