Qatar for Cinema profits fall in H1

Mubasher: Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution has a reported a year-on-year decline in profits for the first six months of 2018.

The company achieved QAR 4.941 million ($1.35 million) in profits between January and June down from QAR 5.712 million ($1.56 million) in the same period of 2017, according to a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).

Earnings per Share (EPS) amounted to QAR 0.79 for the six-month period ended 30 June 2018 versus an EPS of QAR 0.91 registered for the corresponding period of the previous year.

As for the second quarter of 2018, Qatar for Cinema posted QAR 2.22 million ($610,000) in profits, down 1% from QAR 2.76 million ($758,300) in the year-ago period.

Qatar for Cinema previously posted a 7.8% year-on-year drop in profits to QAR 2.72 million in Q1-18 from QAR 2.95 million in the year-ago period.
