Mubasher: Qatar Airways on Thursday announced that it has received two new Boeing 777 Cargo freighters.
The Qatari airline's new transaction is as part of nonstop investments in its fleet and commitment to securing its position as the world’s leading cargo carrier.
“Our relationship with Boeing is a testament to the fact that Qatar Airways is continuing to grow at a record pace,” Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said on the sideline of his visit to Boeing factory in Everett, Washington on Tuesday.
Based on the passenger-preferred and market-leading 777, the Boeing 777X is the largest and most efficient twin-engine jet in the world.
The transaction's value wasn't disclosed.
It is worth noting that the carrier operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft through its hub to more than 150 destinations worldwide.
