Qatar Airways raises fleet to 250 jets

Mubasher: Qatar Airways announced that its fleet reached 250 aircraft after an Airbus A350-900 arrived to Doha from the French city of Toulouse.

The average age of the fleet’s aircraft is less than five years old, the Qatari state-run carrier said in a statement on Wednesday.

With the newly-received plane, Qatar Airways’s fleet is comprised of 203 passenger aircraft, 25 cargo, and 22 executive jets operating from Hamad international airport to over 160 destinations around the world.

Qatar’s flagship airline previously launched flights to new destinations including Sweden’s Gothenburg, Kenya’s Mombasa, and Vietnam’s Da Nang.

The state-owned Gulf carrier plans to add new destinations in 2019, including Lisbon, Portugal; Malta; Rabat, Morocco; Izmir, Turkey; Langkawi, Malaysia; Davao, Philippines; and Mogadishu, Somalia.
