Mubasher: Trade exchange between Qatar and Lebanon surged 48% year-on-year to QAR 787 million ($216.22 million) in 2018, from QAR 531 million ($145.89 million) in the prior year, the chairman of Qatar Chamber (QC) announced on Monday.
About 1,500 Qatari-Lebanese companies are operating in the Qatari market, in addition to 29 wholly-owned Lebanese firms in different sectors which contributed to growing bilateral trade between the two countries, Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani added.
Both counties are also in talks over boosting cooperation between Lebanese exporters of agricultural products and Qatari importers.
