QSE starts Wednesday in red

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday's trading session in negative territory, dragged by the drop of four sectors. 

By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 10.57 points, or 0.11%, to 9,809.61 points. 

The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 11.9 million after 836,700 shares were traded through 349 transactions.

The banking sector topped the QSE's decliners falling 0.15% as Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding went down 4.41%. 

Similarly, the industrial sector inched down 0.06% on the back of Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding's 0.82% drop. 

Meanwhile, the goods sector headed the bourse's gainers adding 0.14% as Medicare Group rose 1.37%. 

Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding's stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.3 million, while Qatar First Bank's stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 207,800 shares.
