QSE starts Thursday's trade in red

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in negative territory, dragged by the drop of three sectors.

By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 0.22% to 9,814.09 points, losing 21.46 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 10.6 million after 615,700 shares traded through 275 transactions.

The industrial sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.37% as Industries Qatar went down 0.80%.

Similarly, the banking sector inched down 0.08% on the back of Doha Bank’s 0.35% drop.

On the other hand, the real estate sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 1% as Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development grew 2.77% and 1.16%, respectively.

Doha Bank’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.2 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which rose 0.99%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 235,700 shares.
