Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session in the red after its benchmark fell 35.33 points, or 0.33%, to 10,686.81 points.
By 9:55 am Qatar time, the bourse’s trading volume hit 1.2 million shares exchanged through 699 transactions at a turnover of QAR 21.8 million.
The industrials sector shed 0.64% as Qatari Investors Group’s (QIGD) stock fell 1.23%, while the banking sector levelled down 0.32% after Masraf Al Rayan’s stock lost 1.29%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector rose 0.25% as Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) stock inched up 0.38%.
Widam Food Company’s stock led losers with 2.22%, while the stock of Salam International Investment Limited (SIIS) was the best performer after adding 1.78%.
Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, which added 0.41%, topped the bourse in terms of traded volume with 399,400 shares, while Masraf Al Rayan posted the highest liquidity with QAR 8.2 million.
