QSE opens Thursday down; industrials, transport weigh

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.76% or 78.27 points to 10,217.69 points in Thursday’s early trades.

By 10:02 am Qatar time, the sectors dropped collectively, with the exception of the insurance sector which remained stable.

The industrials sector led losers with 1.19% as Gulf International Services shed 6.07%.

The transport sector tumbled 0.85% after Gulf Warehousing and Qatar Navigation lost 1.34% and 1.31%, respectively.

Liquidity reached QAR 58.75 million, after 2.09 million shares were traded through 861 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 360,370 shares, while Gulf International Services led in terms of value with a liquidity of QAR 9.25 million.
