Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session in the red, dragged by a massive drop of all sectors
By 10:15 am Qatar time, the general index declined 0.34% to 9,771.60 points, falling 33.80 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 54.04 million after 2.23 million shares were traded through 1,020 transactions.
The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.09% as Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo retreated 1.15% and 1.04%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial sector plunged 0.26% on the back of Qatari Investors Group’s 1.47% drop, while the banking sector inched down 0.23% after Qatar Oman Investment went down 3.23%.
Barwa Real Estate’s stock, which advanced 0.27%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with a turnover of QAR 8.75 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 576,260 shares.
