Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index shed 59.61 points, or 0.6%, to close at 9,826.84 points at the end of the first week of September.
Market capitalisation declined 0.5% to QAR 543.54 billion ($152.88 billion), compared to the last week.
Over the week, the telecommunication sector tumbled 3.87% and the transportation sector decreased by 1.34%.
Meanwhile, the insurance, industrials, real estate, and banking sectors went down 0.63%, 0.54%, 0.49%, and 0.37%, respectively.
The QSE’s trading volume reached 27.86 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit QAR 613.35 million.
