QSE ends Thursday in green

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading session in green territory, supported by the growth of four sectors.

The general index rose 15.11 points, or 0.15%, to finish at 10,214.19 points.

By the end of the last session this week, the bourse’s liquidity increased to QAR 1.7 billion from QAR 1.5 billion on Wednesday, while the trading volume decreased to 5.8 million shares against 8.5 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 1.92% due to Ezdan Holding Group’s 3.96% growth, while the banking sector levelled up 1.61% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) went up 2.87%.

On the negative side, the goods and services sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 3.55% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) plunged 5.62%.

By the end of the session, Woqod’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.05 million shares, generating QAR 168.13 million in liquidity.
