QSE closes Tuesday in red

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Tuesday’s trading session 1.25% or 130.24 points lower at 10,268.07 points.

QSE’s turnover declined to QAR 196.4 million on Tuesday from QAR 355.5 million in the prior session after the trading volume shrank to 4.9 million shares from 6.9 million.

The banking segment led the decliners with 2.06%, dragged by six shares that were headed by Qatar National Bank (QNB) which fell by 3.44%.

QNB posted the highest turnover of QAR 36.5 million.

Doha Bank was the most active stock on which nearly 520,600 shares were traded, the stock went down 1.14%.
