QSE closes Thursday down on five-sector decline

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading session lower in line with the decline of five segments led by real estate companies.

The benchmark price index fell by 0.36%, or 32.96 points, to close the last session this week at 9,027.71 points.

The QSE’s turnover increased to QAR 287.33 million on Thursday compared to QAR 225.81 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank to 7.29 million shares from 11.04 million.

Estate companies led five decliners with 1.18%, dragged by Ezdan Holding with a drop of 2.17%.

Meanwhile, banks were the only gainer with 0.08%, backed by Al Khalij Commercial Bank which added 5.82% to be the most active stock on which 1.2 million shares were traded.
