QSE adds 70 pts early Wednesday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading in the green, boosted by a massive growth of all sectors.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index grew 70 points, or 0.8%, to 9,028.37 points.

The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 73.1 million after 4.1 million shares changed hands through 980 transactions.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.9% as Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) rose 4.7%.

Meanwhile, Gulf Warehousing’s stock headed the bourse decliners losing 2.42% at QAR 40.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which advanced 1.34%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 2.04 million shares, generating QAR 18.54 million in a liquidity.
