QP to sell 3 Al Shaheen oil cargoes in January

Mubasher: Qatar Petroleum (QP) sold three cargoes of Al Shaheen crude oil to be loaded in January, sources familiar with the matter said.

The three cargoes are sold at $0.34 higher than the UAE’s average price, sources told Reuters.

The British-Dutch oil and gas company Shell, and JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation, the Japanese petroleum company, in addition to China National United Oil Corporation (ChinaOil), which owns and operates filling stations in Hong Kong, would be the be the three buyers.

QP, the world’s biggest supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG), gave no further details on the price of the cargoes

Al-Shaheen is considered the Qatari firm’s largest oil field with a production capacity of 300,000 barrels per day (bpd).
