Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Exxon Mobil signed an agreement on Wednesday with the Cypriote government to explore and share production in offshore Block 10 in southwest Cyprus, according to a statement.
This agreement will extend the international scope of QP's work in the eastern Mediterranean, CEO of QP Saad Sherida Al Kaabi said.
Currently, a 3D seismic survey is being conducted to begin drilling and exploration by 2018.
The company had stated on 7 February that it planned to partner with international companies for the regasification of at least 750 million cubic feet per day by 2018.
