Mubasher: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) on Sunday announced that its export programme (Tasdeer) had participated in the Complast Vietnam 2018 exhibition, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City during the period between 10 and 12 January 2018.
The two-day exhibition, which brings together companies from all over the world to showcase their latest products and technologies in the plastics industry, hosted around 14 Qatari companies specialized in the plastic and rubber sector, according to the bank’s statement.
QDB's participation in the event aims to enhance Qatari products through introducing them to both regional and international markets, the statement added.
Qatari plastics and rubber producers have made headways towards their production’s progress, QDB CEO Bin Nasser Al Khalifa said.
After proving their efficiency in the domestic and regional market, plastics and rubber firms are seeking to introduce themselves globally through the Complast Vietnam international exhibition, in addition to sharing experiences and expertise, he added.
He said that the bank has played a key role in the exhibition through providing assistance to local companies in order to help them achieve their aspirations.
“This is very important as it opens for Qatari companies a new window to international markets, enabling them to export their products to these markets and contribute to the diversification of the Qatari economy, which is one of the main objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030,” the top official commented.
The companies that have shared in the exhibition were Bin Aman Plastic Industries, Behzad Plastic Products WLL, Al Naqeeb Plastic Factory, Doha Plastic, Almuftah
Fiberglass Products W.L.L, Twyla Recycling, Qatar Integrated Plastic bags, and others.
