Cairo – Mubasher: Foreign tobacco companies in Egypt are currently studying the impact of price hike on its products before the announcement of an imminent increase.
The companies have suspended the sale of their products in Egypt until the release of the new prices, Ibrahim Embaby, the head of the cigarettes division at the Federation of Egyptian Industries told Mubasher.
Eastern Company’s Mohamed Osman Haroun stated earlier that his company will raise the prices of its cigarettes by a minimum of 150 piasters per pack as of Thursday.
