Petroleum Pipelines starts working on EGP 3.2bn projects

Cairo – Mubasher: Petroleum Pipelines Co has started implementing a number of projects valued at EGP 3.2 billion, the company’s chairman Abdel Moneim Hafez said in a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum on Monday.

These projects include developing and linking ports with the national network for transporting crude oil and petroleum products in Ain Sokhna with investments worth EGP 1.7 billion.

Several projects have been implemented and operated in Ain Sokhna to raise the efficiency of the existing facilities, in addition to implementing and operating the 41-kilometre Ain Sokhna/Wadi Hagool/Al-Hafayer diesel pipeline.

In addition, a pipeline is being implemented to transport petroleum products from Ain Sokhna to El Tebbin.

Moreover, Petroleum Pipelines Co continues to implement projects in the Upper Egypt region with investments of more than EGP 1 billion to develop the infrastructure of the network in a bid to meet the region’s fuel requirements, Hafez confirmed.

During fiscal year 2018/2019, several projects have been established by the company with investments of EGP 305 million.
