Cairo – Mubasher: Petroleum Gas Co (Petrogas) has succeeded in securing around 4.2 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the domestic market in fiscal year 2017/2018, chairman Adel Al Shuwaikh said on Sunday.
LPG storage capacity reached 149,000 tonnes at the company's warehouses, the private sector, fields, and refiners, according to an official statement.
Petrogas has completed the construction of 11 new tankers in Sohag and Alexandria governorates, Al Shuwaikh added.
LPG has been distributed through 3,013 centres across Egypt, he indicated.
He stressed that the company was able to meet the market’s LPG demands in collaboration with the different entities in the country.
This came on the sidelines of the ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Petrogas, headed by petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla, to endorse the company’s financial results for the previous fiscal year.
