Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Development Egypt commenced 2025 with strong financial results, showing a remarkable resilience in a challenging economic landscape.
The EGX-listed group turned profitable at EGP 1.98 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, against consolidated net losses after tax of EGP 984.54 million in Q1-24, according to the financial results.
Basic earnings per share (EPS) hit EGP 1.81 as of 31 March 2025, against a loss per share of EGP 1.05 a year earlier.
Total revenues increased by 54.30% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 6.44 billion in Q1-25 from EGP 4.17 billion.
Standalone Business
Orascom Development Egypt generated standalone net profits after tax amounting to EGP 2.20 billion in the first three months (3M) of 2025, compared to net losses of EGP 1.55 billion in Q1-24.
Non-consolidated revenues hiked to EGP 3.34 billion in Q1-25 from EGP 1.55 billion a year earlier.
