Mubasher: Oman Telecommunications’s (Omantel) ordinary general meeting (OGM) has approved to a cash dividend distribution of OMR 0.50 per share for 2018, accounting for 50% of the company’s capital, the company’s deputy chairman said.
Omantel has recorded revenues of OMR 2.186 billion in 2018, compared to OMR 751.7 million in 2017, Oman News Agency reported, citing Saud Bin Ahmed Bin Al Nahari.
The telecom firm’s net profits amounted to OMR 208.8 million last year, versus OMR 99.8 million in 2017, Al Nahari added.
The OGM also agreed to allocate OMR 500,000 to support social services in Oman this year.
