Mubasher: Oman’s consumer price index (CPI) rose in April by 1.12% month-on-month, according to a report issued Monday by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The report attribute the rise to the increasing prices of most of the leading groups as housing, water, electricity and fuels group grew 1.02%, foodstuff and non-alcoholic beverages group (+0.02%), transportation group (+3.97%) and goods and miscellaneous services (+0.11%).
The prices of clothing and footwear also increased 0.22%, furnishing, household appliances and maintenance (+0.26%), education (+3.03%), health (+1.44%) and restaurants and hotels (+0.25%).
