Oman Production Reaches 30M barrels in August

Oman produced 30.21 million barrels of crude oil and condensate in August, averaging 974,500 barrels per day (b/d), the Times of Oman reported.

Official figures released by the Ministry of Oil and Gas showed that the Sultanate exported 25.12 million barrels of crude in August at an average of 813,164 b/d.

The proportion of Omani crude exported to China fell for the second consecutive month, but still remains the top buyer of Omani crude. It dropped by 2.85% to 80.66%.

Exports to Japan, however, rose by 3.39% compared to July, while Myanmar bought 0.36% less crude from Oman in August.

The average price for Oman Crude Oil Futures Contracts in August fell by 0.7% compared to July. The official August selling price (for delivery in October) was 0.53 cents lower in August than in July to reach $72.64. The trading price fell between $70 and $76.29 per barrel throughout the month.
