Oman Chlorine sets up new firm in Qatar

Mubasher: Gulf Chlorine, a subsidiary of Oman Chlorine, and KLJ Organic Qatar have signed on Sunday the articles of incorporation for establishing a new company under the name of United Chemicals W.L.L., with total investments of around OMR 5.3 million ($13.7 Million).

The shareholding of the new Joint venture, to be located in Mesaieed Industrial City, Qatar, will be 50% for each, according to a bourse filing released on Wednesday.

The new firm will set up a plant to produce 60,000 tons per year of calcium chloride in addition to market the hydrochloric acid produced locally by the shareholders.
